The oasis located in a small park very near from the Zenpukuji Park.
Several odd stone works designed by architect Rokkaku Kijou are set in the park. All of them are developed to stimulate human’s five senses; for example, “toureiseki” or literally “cooling head stone” makes you cool off by touching your forehead to this stone, and “ashiura keirakuseki” or literally” sole meridian stone” shows that divided parts of the sole connect with specific internal organs.
This pleasant place, tour ending point of the NISHIOGI north course, is reminiscent of the annual big event in the summer called “shiruku rohdo” or “know the Suginami-ku roads”, which lasted for about 20 years until 2007.
はだしのオアシス
善福寺公園（下の池）近くの小さな公園にあるオアシス。2007年まで約 20 年間、毎夏実施されていた区あげての一大周遊イベント、「知る区ロード」における西荻北地区ルートの終点。
建築家・六角鬼丈の設計した、人間の五感を刺激する諸作品あり。おでこを押して頭を冷やす「頭冷石」、足の裏と体の各部が経絡で繋がっている位置関係を示す「足裏経絡石」、など風変わりなメニューが多く、楽しいはだし体験ができる。
