FINDING A GOOD FORAGING PLACE

This bird seems to have found a suitable foraging place.

A resident bird called Great egret usually living in a pond in Zenpukuji Park in NISHIOGI. It is now looking for food such as small fish at the starting point of the Zenpukuji River connected with the pond.

The bird is said to search for food in shallow water and catch the target skillfully using its bill. 

好適な採食場を求めて

この鳥は絶好の採食場を見つけたようです。

西荻の善福寺公園の池に住む留鳥「ダイサギ（大鷺）」。今、同公園「下の池」の出口に続く善福寺川の起点で小魚などの食べ物を採食しようとしています。

「ダイサギ」は、浅瀬でくちばしを器用に使って獲物を捕らえるといわれます。
