NISHIOGIKUBO residents have had a new place of rest and relaxation!
A new municipal park with a width of about 3,200㎡(about 0.8 acre) called Shouan umebayashi koen opened in the southwestern part of NISHIOGI on April 2, 2022. The former privately owned Japanese plum grove has been transformed into this nice place.
The siblings of Suginami ward characters called Namisuke and Namii came to the opening ceremony to celebrate the opening.
The park is characterized by providing children and elder citizens with a wide space for healing, safety and security; for example, vibrating playground equipment and cubic stools called Kamado-tsuuru or literally stove tool are installed. These stools can be used as pieces of equipment for cooking when disasters happen.
新公園の開園
西荻市民の憩いの場が新たに誕生しました！
西荻の南西地区に、2022年4月2日、広さ約3,200㎡の区立「松庵梅林公園（しょうあん うめばやし こうえん）」と称する新公園が開園した。
もともとこの場所にあった私有の梅林を作り変えたもので、開園式には杉並区のキャラクターである「なみすけ」「ナミー」の兄妹もお祝いに登場した。
新公園の特徴は、振動する遊具を備えた子供の遊び場ないし年配者等への憩いの場、および災害の際に竈として使用する「カマドツール」など防災機能を備えた広場であるとのことです。
