Are these birds considering what to capture and eat?

Resident birds called little egrets found at the ponds of Zenpukuji Park in NISHIOGI before noon. These birds are said to be the most in number among egrets in Japan.

They are said to eat small fish and aquatic insects using various ingenious means; for example, they catch creatures after driving them out by shaking the feet in the shallows or they get fish by surprising them with flapping wings.

これらの鳥は何を捕ろうかと思案中なのでしょうか？

ある日の昼前、西荻の善福寺公園の池で見つけた留鳥の「コサギ（小鷺）」。日本で最も数が多いシラサギといわれています。

小魚や水生昆虫などを食べますが、浅瀬で足を振るわせて生き物を追い出して捕まえる“追い出し漁”とか、翼を羽ばたかせて魚を驚かして捕まえるなど、いろいろと工夫した採食方法をとるといわれます。
