Is this bird taking a break after an early morning meal?

A resident bird called “Goisagi” or Black-crowned night heron found at a pond of Zenpukuji Park in NISHIOGI in the late morning.

The bird is characterized by the navy-blue head and back, and two long white crest feathers on the back of the head. It is said that in the evening or early in the morning, the bird waits still in ambush, and when prey such as fish, crayfish and frogs approach it, it quickly catches them with its bill and eat them.
