WINTER BIRDS HAVE ARRIVED

A pair of birds seems to be eating happily.

On a late November afternoon when the autumn leaves are shining, two winter birds, “Hidorigamo”, or Eurasian Wigeon were found on the Upper Pond of Zenpukuji Park in NISHIOGI.

It is said that the bird likes to eat grass and seaweed; these birds also seem to like the endangered floating weeds called “Asaza”, or floating hearts.

冬鳥来る

つがいで仲良く食事でしょうか。

紅葉が映える11月末の午後、西荻の善福寺公園の「上の池」で見つけた2羽の冬鳥「ヒドリガモ（緋鳥鴨）」。

草や海藻などを好んで食べる鳥とのことですが、絶滅が危惧される浮草の「アサザ（浅沙）」もお気に入りのようです。
