SWEET-LOVING BIRD

Did this bird come to eat the few remaining chinaberry fruits?

A sweet-loving “Hiyodori” or brown-eared bulbul perched on a chinaberry tree by the “Upper Pond” of Zenpukuji Park in NISHIOGI.

The bird does not seem to be poisoned even if it eats the fruit, which is said to be poisonous.

甘味好きの鳥

残り僅かのセンダンの実を食べに来たのでしょうか。

西荻の善福寺公園の「上の池」池畔のセンダンの木にとまった、甘いもの好きの「ヒヨドリ（鵯）」。

有毒といわれるセンダンの実を食べてもこの鳥は中毒を起こさないようです。
