ZENPUKUJI PARK IN DECEMBER

The wild birds were going about their own lives on this day as well.

Wild birds found at the “Upper Pond” in Zenpukuji Park in NISHIOGI just before lunchtime one day in mid-December,

The migratory winter birds, the wigeons, were busily eating their favorite floating grass, while a pure white bird that looked like a snowy egret, and a family of black-crowned night herons were lounging in the trees, perhaps taking a break after breakfast.

師走の善福寺公園

野鳥たちはこの日もそれぞれの暮らしを営んでいました。

12月中旬のある日のお昼前、西荻の善福寺公園の「上の池」で見つけた野鳥たちです。

渡来した冬鳥の「ヒドリガモ」は忙しく好物の浮き草を食べていましたが、「ユキコサギ」と思しき真っ白の鳥や、「ゴイサギ」の家族は、朝食後の休憩時間だったのか、木の上でゆったりしていました。
