The pioneering shop which devised an innovative rental space system for artists. Over 200 small square wooden boxes with miniature bulbs represent each individual artist’s museums.
The shop owner’s intention is said to become a base of an “outsider art”. Its meaning is to assemble artworks which one out of 100 persons evaluates as a treasure, although the other 99 persons determine as rubbish.
Strange exhibitions such as an example here are held from time to time.
アウトサイダー美術館
小さな木箱を美術家に賃貸するシステムを考案したパイオニア店。豆電球の入った200個以上の四角い小箱のそれぞれが、いわば各作家の主張する美術館。
オーナーの店づくりの考えは「アウトサイダーアート」、すわわち、「100人のうち99人にとってはゴミでも、たったひとりの人にとっては宝物」といった手作り作品を集めるということ。
時折、風変わりな展示会が開かれる。
