YELLOW SPIDER LILY

These are flowers that make you feel the arrival of autumn.

“Shoukizuisen” or Golden Spider Lily, a close relative of the red spider lily, planted in the adjacent garden of Motohashi Farm in NISHIOGI. They are perennials native to China.

The name of the plant is said to come from Zong Kui, a god who appears in Chinese folklore.

Incidentally, the flower language of these flowers is, for example, “recollection.”

黄色い彼岸花

秋の訪れを感じさせる花です。

西荻の「本橋栗園」に近接する庭園に植栽されている、彼岸花の近縁種「ショウキズイセン（鍾馗水仙）。中国原産の多年草。

名前は、中国の民間伝承に登場する神様「鍾馗」に由来するそうです。

因みに、この花の花言葉は、例えば「追想」。
