OUT OF SEASON SNOW IN NISHIOGI

NISHIOGI is not a region with heavy snowfalls.

There are 12 memorable statues in total here placed outdoors: six “Douji” or servant boy carved by sculptor Yabuuchi Satoshi and six “Jizo” or a guardian deity of children set by the Federation of NISHIOGI Shop Owners.

Out of season snow in the late March astounded these statues such as “Hana-no Douji” located in front of the south entrance of NISHIOGIKUBO station and “Shiawase Jizo” in front of the NISHIOGI-south Post Office.

季節外れの雪

西荻は雪国ではありません。

域内には、南北各六ケ所に名物の「六童子」（彫刻家・籔内佐斗司作）と「六地蔵」（西荻窪商店会連合会設置）が置かれている。

3月末の季節外れの雪に、西荻の街はもとより、「花の童子」（西荻窪駅南口）や「幸せ地蔵」（西荻南郵便局前）も驚いています。
