TROLLS IN THE PARK 2020

Annual international art event (Nov.3-Nov.23) in NISHIOGI, which started in 2002. Every year you can enjoy a lot of installations, exhibits and performances at Zenpukuji park and NISHIOGI downtown. 

The theme of the event this year was, Bewilderment. You are sure to be bewildered by the exhibit called “National Dice” displayed at the entrance of NISHIOGIKUBO station. Although a proverb says, “You can’t see the forest for the trees”, it’s actually the dice when you look at it from afar and closely, too.

トロールの森2020

2002年にスタートし、毎年秋に主に都立善福寺公園（上池）で開催される国際アート展。同公園から西荻のまちなかにかけて、多くのユニークな据え付け作品や展示、パフォーマンス等が披露される。

今年のテーマは「キョトンBewilderment」。例えば西荻窪駅北口に展示された、この「National Dice」と称する作品。「木を見て森を見ず」ということわざがあるが、遠くから「森（全体）」を見ても、接近して「木（個）」を見ても、サイコロ。まさに「キョトン」だ。
