What's
NISHIOGI

DSC_0347.JPG

White and red Japanese plum blossoms found in the residential area in NISHIOGI.

These blossoms will remind you of a famous haiku composed by Hattori Ransetsu, a pupil of Matsuo Basho.

Ume ichirin ichirin-hodo-no atatakasa, which can literally be translated as “one Japanese plum blossom, one blossom, increasing warmth.”
