A family of spot-billed ducks encountered by the pond in Zenpukuji Park in NISHIOGI early in the afternoon.
They seem to have started a walk after lunch.
A staff member of the Service Center in the Park commented,” These chicks led by the parent bird were hatched in the middle of May. Usually, 10-11 eggs are laid. The parent has been doing a good job in feeding, because as many as four chicks have survived. However, they can’t fly yet.”
