The Jizo looks prepared for preventing heatstroke.

One of the six Jizo statues in NISHIOGI called “Enmusubi Jizo” or literally matchmaking Jizo. Jizo is the guardian of children and travelers in Buddhism; this statue is the one who forms good relationships with other people including visitors from abroad.

Thanks to the consideration of NISHIOGI citizens the Jizo, surrounded by many summer flowers and wearing a stylish sun hat, advocates earnestly that taking action to avoid heatstroke is essential under the present intense heat.
