This is the perfect tea ceremony utensil for cherry blossom viewing.
A “Sakura Tea Set” displayed in an antique store (“Jikoh”) in the northwestern part of NISHIOGI. It is a four-piece set that includes a Kyoto-style overglaze tea bowl depicting Yoshino cherry blossoms (Nara Prefecture), a tea caddy with a cherry blossom design, a natsume bag, and a bamboo tea scoop. It is a work from the late Showa period(1980s).
The “Yamazakura” or literally mountain cherry, a species of cherry tree similar to the Yoshino cherry tree, planted in Momoi Harappa Park in NISHIOGI has also begun to bloom.
Drinking matcha from this tea bowl while enjoying cherry blossom viewing would really be a blissful experience.
桜のお茶セット
お花見に最適の茶道具です。
西荻北西地区の骨董店(「慈光」)に展示されている、「桜のお茶セット」。吉野の桜（奈良県）を描いた京都の色絵茶碗、桜模様の入った棗（なつめ）、棗袋、そして茶杓、の4点セットです。昭和後期の作品。
西荻の桃井原っぱ公園に植栽されている、吉野の桜と同種の「ヤマザクラ」も咲き始めました。
お花見をしながらこの茶碗で抹茶を頂ければ、まさに至福の時と言えましょう。
