People would be attracted by these mysterious sumi-e or India-ink paintings.

A special exhibition of sumi-e by a sumi-e artist, Ms. Watabe Yuka, held in the Japanese culture store near the north exit of NISHIOGIKUBO Station.

These sumi-e were painted on washi or traditional Japanese paper while oozing black ink under the concept of a “hazy moon”. Skillful control of using ink and brushes has created these mysterious works.
