Is this yellow-green bird in the round basket relaxing after lunch?

A parakeet found in a resident’s garden tree in NISHIOGI. We wonder if the other birds sitting on branches and an electric wire are members of the same flock.

It is said that the number of feral parakeets has been increasing in recent years. Generally, parakeets should be sensitive to the cold, but these birds seem to be tough enough to adapt themselves to severe weather conditions where even the daytime temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius in NISHIOGI in this winter season.

西荻の民家の庭木に収まっているインコ。ごく近くの枝や電線にとまっているのは群れの仲間でしょうか？

インコは、近年、野生化したものが増えてきているといわれる。本来、寒さが苦手のはずなのに、昼間でも10℃前後のこの西荻の寒さにも適応する逞しさを備えているようです。
