ENJOYING WARM SPRING WEATHER

This high place seems to be the favorite seat for staying.

A cat sitting in a relaxed posture on the ridge of the house next to the main hall of a Soto sect Buddhist temple called Kansenji in the northern part of NISHIOGI.

It is said that cats like to climb high places to secure safety. It’s surprising that this cat has even gone up to the ridge; it may have been attracted by the balmy spring weather and the scent of cherry blossoms in full bloom behind the house.

西荻の北地区にある曹洞宗の寺院・観泉寺。その本堂の右隣にある家の棟にリラックスした姿で座る猫。

猫は安心・安全を確保するため高いところが好きといわれるが、このような高い棟まで登るとは驚きだ。春のぽかぽか陽気と家の背後にある満開の桜の香りに誘われたのかもしれません。
