A “naga-hibachi” or cuboid wooden brazier displayed in an antique store in NISHIOGI. It was made about 150 years ago.
The storekeeper commented, “This brazier would be used, for example, for boiling water in an iron kettle and making tea so that people gathered around it have a blissful time. The beauty of the watered pattern on the side of the brazier is a defining characteristic of a Japanese zelkova tree.”

西荻北地区の骨董店に展示されている木製長火鉢。150年ほど前の作品。
店主のコメント「この長火鉢は、例えば人々がその周囲を囲み、鉄瓶で湯を沸かして茶をたて、談笑する至福の時間を醸し出すのに好適です。また、この渦巻くような玉目（たまもく）の美しさはケヤキの際立った特徴です。」
