PERFECT HARVEST MOON 2022

Let’s pray to the moon for this year’s abundant harvest!

The full moon viewed from home in NISHIOGI at around a quarter after seven in the evening on September10,2022.

The harvest moon and the perfect full moon fell on the same day following last year.

In Japan, people have a custom to enjoy the moon-viewing this evening, decorating Japanese pampas grass and offering dumplings and sake to the moon.

2022年9月10日夜7時15分ごろ、西荻南地区住宅で見た満月。

昨年に続き、本年も「中秋の名月」と「満月」が同じ日に重なりました。

日本では、この夜、ススキを飾り、お酒と団子などを供えて月見を楽しむ風習があります。
