Lots of intriguing works and events have been assembled this year.
The annual international art event (Nov.3-Nov.23) is on now around the NISHIOGI area including Zenpukuji Park. The theme of the event this year is Signs.
The installation titled Maboroshi or phantom, for example, seems to express a mysterious space with the shape of a large mushroom. On the other hand, the explanation board about The Thrill of the Water Side says,” Amongst the ordinary landscape of the Zenpukuji Pond, the repetitive movements of a wooden Shishiodoshi-a type of Japanese fountain, propelled by the movement of falling water, spread out their ripples to the water’s edge and stirs a thrill in us as we catch their subtle signs.”
トロールの森2022
本年も多くの興味をそそる作品やイベントが揃いました。
善福寺公園を中心に西荻窪駅周辺で開催されている毎年恒例の「トロールの森2022」（11.3～11.23）。今年のテーマは「きざしSigns」です。
例えばこの「まぼろし」と題する大きなキノコの形をしたインスタレーションは、不思議が漂う空間を表現したもののようです。一方、「水辺のときめき」について説明板では、「いつもと同じ善福寺池の風景の中に、落し水で動く木で作った鹿威し（ししおどし）を並べる。その繰り返す動きは、幾重にも重なり水辺に拡がっていく。それはまるで小さなきざしを感じた時の、ときめきの様に。」と説明されています。
