VIEWING AUTUMN LEAVES IN NISHIOGIKUBO

People can enjoy the vivid contrast between the deep blue sky and the autumn leaves.

“Kaede” or maple trees planted in Zenpukuji Park. Kaede is the designated symbol tree of Yamanashi Prefecture.

Incidentally, the Japanese name is said to come from the fact that the leaf shape resembles a frog’s hand.

西荻の善福寺公園・下の池池畔に植栽されている「カエデ」。カエデは、山梨県の県木にもなっています。

因みに、「カエデ」の名は、葉の形が「カエルの手」に似ていることに由来するといわれています。
