FLOWERS DECORATING AUTUMN FLOWERBED

Here are flowers in the same family as crest-shaped flowers.

“Keitou” or cockscomb planted in flower beds in front of welfare facilities in NISHIOGI.

The flowers originated in tropical Asia and India and annual herbs. The plant height is 60-90cm.

It is said that the name “Keitou” was given because the shape of the flower resembles a chicken’s crest. There are many different shapes like these flowers, which makes gardening fun.

Incidentally, the flower language of “Keitou” is, for example, strangeness or stylishness.

トサカの形をした花と同じ仲間です。

西荻の福祉施設前の花壇などに植栽されている「ケイトウ（鶏頭）」。

熱帯アジアおよびインド原産の1年草。草丈は60～90㎝。

花の形がニワトリのトサカに似ていることから、「ケイトウ」の名がついたとのことですが、これらの花のような色々な形のものがあり、庭仕事が楽しくなります。

因みに、「ケイトウ」の花言葉は、例えば「風変り」「おしゃれ」。
