On the other hand, according to the creator of the vest, this is indigo dyeing. The wool was hand-spun, sent to a workshop in Hokkaido, and indigo-dyed with a unique dyeing method regarding stain solution, the temperature, and the dyeing duration.

猛暑を吹き飛ばす力作も数多く展示されていました。
2023年7月23日（日）、井荻會舘で開催された「西荻手しごと市」。出店者は計39店。
例えばこの「かき氷」のぬいぐるみ。出展者のコメント、「アクリルの布にビーズを埋め込み、プラスチックのスプーンをつけ、中に綿を詰めました。どうぞこれを眺めながら猛暑をしのいでください。」
一方、「ベスト」の作者によれば、これは藍染めです。羊毛を手で紡ぎ、北海道の工房にお願いし、染色液、温度、染色時間等に関する独自の藍染法で藍染めをかけたもの、とのことです。
