LARGE CHERRY BLOSSOM

Here is a cherry tree which has come into full bloom a little earlier than Someiyoshino.

A hybrid cherry tree originated in Japan called “Youkou” planted in Momoi Harappa Park in the northeastern part of NISHIOGI.

The flowers are large and strikingly deep pink. Bulbuls which have a sweet tooth have actively been sucking nectar from the flowers.

大輪のサクラ

「ソメイヨシノ」より一足お先に満開になりました。

西荻の北東地区にある桃井原っぱ公園に植栽されている、日本原産の交雑種のサクラ「ヨウコウ（陽光）」。

花が大型で色が濃いピンクなのが目立ちます。甘いもの大好きのヒヨドリが、盛んに蜜を吸っていました。
