Many handicrafts celebrating the coming of spring have been displayed.
The March 2023 handmade market held in Iogi hall on Sunday the 26th.Thirty exhibitors including several new participants have taken part in the event.
The exhibitor of the “tenugui” or a piece of thin cotton cloth called picnic, for example, commented,” This work has been made using a dyeing technique called “tenasen” or hand printing with images of spring such as a cherry-blossom viewing and hiking.”
In addition, the “kokedama” or moss balls arranged with sprigs of cherry trees have given visitors the atmosphere of spring.
2023年3月西荻手しごと市
春の到来を喜ぶ作品が多く出品されていました。
2023年3月26日（日）、井荻會舘で開催された「西荻手しごと市」。初めての参加者も増えて出展者は計30店。
例えばこの「picnic」と名付けられた手ぬぐいにつき、出展者のコメント、「これは綿の生地に「手捺染（てなせん）」という技法で染めたもので、お花見や行楽など春の季節をイメージして作りました」。また、苔玉にサクラの小枝を配した作品も春の風情を感じさせます。
