Let’s have more fun with attractive little pieces of green!
The May 2023 handmade market held in Iogi hall on Sunday the 28th. Thirty-nine exhibitors overall have displayed lots of proud handicrafts.
Take these terrariums, for example. The exhibitor commented,” The concept is to pack a natural landscape into a bottle. The humidity inside the bottle is 100% because the soil is moistened. I insert mosses one by one into the soil. There is a small gap between the top and the body to let air in to prevent mold. I pour water once every two weeks. Mosses grow well, so if you put those bottles beside your desk, you will feel relieved.”
The dark green work is called “corsage grapes” and is said to have been made of old Japanese cloths with Chinese characters.

素敵な小さな緑で楽しみを増やしましょう！
2023年5月28日（日）、井荻會舘で開催された「西荻手しごと市」。
計39店の出展者によるご自慢の工芸品等が数多く並んでいました。
例えばこの「苔テラリウム」。出展者のコメント、「自然の景観をビンの中に詰め込むというコンセプトです。土を湿らせますのでビンの中は湿度100％です。苔は1本ずつ差し込みます。ビンの蓋と本体との間には小さな隙間があり、空気を入れてカビを防止します。2週間に1回、水を差します。苔はよく育ちますので、机の横などに置くと癒されますよ」。
一方、濃緑の品は「コサージュぶどう」と称し、漢字も入った古い和布で作られたものとのことです。
