PINK ELEPHANT WAS TAKEN DOWN

The Pink Elephant, the unofficial mascot of NISHIOGI, was taken down for the first time in four years on September 17, 2023.

The 45th Autumn Festival organized by NISHIOGI Minamiguchi Nakadori Shopping Association.

Many children wearing pink sashes drew it and toured around the town, including the Nakadori Arcade Street where it lives. The Pink Elephant’s skin has become fair, possibly because it didn’t move for three years.

「ピンクの象」降りる

西荻の非公式マスコットの「ピンクの象」が、2023年9月17日、4年ぶりに降ろされました。

西荻南口仲通り商店会主催の45回目の秋祭り。

ピンクのタスキをつけた多くの子供たちに曳かれて、住まいの仲通アーケード街をはじめ町内を巡りました。「ピンクの象」は3年間動かなかったせいか色白になりました。
