TANABATA IN NISHIOGI 2023

Tanabata or the Star Festival on July 7th is approaching.

On this day, people write their wishes on strips of colored paper and hang them on the leafy bamboo branches.

Reflecting the continuing severe international situation, earnest wishes for the earliest calm are written also this year; for example,” May the earth be with safety and peace!”     

西荻の七夕2023

7月7日の七夕の日が近づきました。

善福寺公園内の池畔に飾られた七夕飾りです。人々はこの日、願いごとを色とりどりの短冊に書き笹の枝に結びます。

引き続く厳しい国際情勢を映して、今年も早期平穏化の切なる願い、例えば「地球に安全と平和祈ります。」などが書かれています。
