This is a collection of works depicting living things that live in familiar nature using free ideas.
An exhibition titled “Flowers, birds, wind and moon. Kouno Kanae Exhibition” (2024.6.19-7.7) is on now in a gallery (“Yorokobito”) near the south exit of JR NISHIOGIKUBO Station.
The artist’s wish is” I want people to feel the breath of nature in the worldview I draw.”
For example, this large canvas painting on display on the wall is a flock of flying birds named “watari-dori” or migratory birds. However, if you look a little further away, you can see four women wearing colorful ethnic costumes, as if dancing with their arms outstretched in the wind.
花鳥風月を愛でる
身近な自然の中で息づく生き物を自由な発想で描いた作品群です。
JR西荻窪駅南口の近くのギャラリー（「ヨロコビto」）で開催中の展覧会（『flowers, birds, wind and moon.こうのかなえ展』）（2024.６.19～7.7）。
作家の願いは、「私の描く世界観の中で自然の息吹を感じてほしい」とあります。
例えばこの壁面に展示されている、帆布に描いた大きな作品は「watari-dori」と名付けられた飛翔する鳥の群れです。しかし、少し離れて見ると、色彩豊かな民族衣装を着た4人の女性が、風に向かって両手を広げて踊っているかのようにも見えます。
