BIRD THAT LOVES NECTAR

This bird is devoted to sucking.

“Mejiro” or Japanese white-eye perches on a red plum tree and is sucking nectar in the Momoi Harappa Park in the northeastern part of NISHIOGI.

Japanese people have long used the phrase,” plum and Japanese bush warbler”, to express the wonder of the combination. However, looking at this scene, it seems that the Japanese white-eye actually matches the plum better.

花蜜大好きの鳥

吸密に余念がありません。

西荻の北東地区の桃井原っぱ公園の紅梅にとまり吸密中の「メジロ（目白）」。

日本人は、昔から取り合わせの妙を表現するのに「梅に鶯（ウグイス）」という言葉をよく口にします。しかし、この光景を見ると、実際には、むしろメジロのほうが梅によく似合うようです。
