猛暑を凌ぐ癒しの作品にも出会いました。
2024年7月28日（日）、41店の参加を得て井荻會舘で開催された「西荻手しごと市」。
例えばこの「花時計」。中身は、「プリザーブド・フラワー」で、生きた花（バラ、アジサイ、カスミソウ）を脱水・脱色して染料等に浸し乾燥させた後、アレンジしたものとのことです。直射日光や高温・多湿を避ければ、数年は美しさを保ち、時計は実際に動きます。出店者の言「これを部屋に飾れば、室内が華やぎ、癒しにもなります。お見舞い、新築祝い、プレゼントなどに好適です。」
一方、この「プラ板のキーホルダー」。北海道・知床出身の店主が、故郷への思いを込めて、知床で見られる動物として、鹿の角にヤモリ、エゾシマリス、ヒグマを飾りました。
