Despite the harsh summer heat, the shrine was overflowing with people.
On September 14 (Saturday)and 15 (Sunday), 2024, Kasuga Shrine in the southeastern part of NISHIOGI held its autumn festival.
This year, there was no procession of Kasuga Shrine’s mikoshi, but the portable shrine of NISHIOGIKUBO Minami Honcho Association went back and forth to the shrine.
On both days, members of Oomiyamae Folk Performing Arts Preservation Society performed Sato-Kagura or sacred Shinto music and dances, including a performance of “Akkitaiji” (Exorcizing Evil Spirits) on the night of the 15th.
春日神社例大祭
残暑の厳しさにもかかわらず、神社内は溢れんばかりの人出でにぎわいました。
2024年9月14日（土）～15日（日）、西荻の南東地区の春日神社の例大祭が行われました。
本年は、春日神社の神輿の渡御はありませんでしたが、西荻の一部商店会（西荻窪南本町会）の神輿が同神社を往復しました。また、両日とも大宮前郷土芸能保存会のメンバーによる里神楽が上演され、例えば15日夜には「悪鬼退治（あっきたいじ）」が演じられました。
