SETSUBUN IN NISHIOGI 2024

Many people gathered for the annual Bean Throwing Ceremony of Setsubun.

A “Mame-throwing ceremony” was held on the afternoon of February 3rd at Ogikubo Hachiman Shrine in the northeastern part of NISHIOGI.

At this ceremony, not only lucky beans but also Fukuzeni (coin) that are said to bring economic fortune and oranges (daidai) that are believed to bring prosperity from generation to generation, were scattered. There were some people who had the idea of holding up a large bag to receive these items.

西荻の節分 2024

多くの人々が年中行事、節分の「豆まき式」に集いました。

西荻の北東地区にある荻窪八幡神社で2月3日の午後行われた「豆まき式」。

この式では、福豆ばかりでなく、財布に入れておけば金運を招くという福銭（硬貨）や代々栄えるとの縁起を担いだ橙（だいだい）もまかれ、大きな袋をかざしてこれらを受けようとするアイデアの人もいました。
