This year’s festival was again a huge success, with themes including multicultural coexistence, the first-time experience event aimed at kids, and environmental awareness.
The big all-Suginami event “Suginami Festa 2024 “(November 9-10) mainly held in Momoi Harappa Park in the northeastern part of NISHIOGI.
For example, on the main stage, there was a hula dance performed to the nostalgic ukulele melody by Kyu Sakamoto, “Miagete goran Yoru no Hoshi o” (“Love is the Light”), and also a fashion show by nine ethnic costume foreigners from eight countries, including Uganda, China and Bangladesh who live in Suginami Ward.
すぎなみフェスタ2024
多文化共生やキッズ対象に特化した初の体験イベント、環境配慮などをテーマとして今回も大いに賑わいました。
西荻北東地区の桃井原っぱ公園などで開催された、オール杉並のビッグイベント「すぎなみフェスタ2024」（2024.11.9～11.10）。
例えばメインステージでは、ウクレレによる懐かしい坂本九の曲（「見上げてごらん夜の星を」）に合わせたフラダンスや、杉並区内在住の、ウガンダ・中国・バングラデシュなど8か国9名の外国籍の方々による民族衣装のファッションショーも披露されました。
