In the forested atmosphere, people enjoyed the traditional Japanese performing arts.
The autumn festival of Tenso Shrine, located on the southeastern border between NISHIOGI and Ogikubo (October 14-15, 2024), featured performances of Bushu Sato Kagura by Ishiyama Shachu, an intangible cultural property of Niiza City, Saitama Prefecture, and Ohayashi, or festival music, by the Igusa Bayashi Preservation Society, an intangible folk cultural property registered in Suginami Ward.
While the music was playing, a lion suddenly appeared and started biting the heads of visitors, which is said to be an act of warding off evil spirits.
天祖神社例大祭
森々とした雰囲気の中で、日本の伝統芸能を楽しみました。
西荻と荻窪の南東境界あたりにある天祖神社の例大祭（2024.10.14-15）。
埼玉県新座市の重要無形文化財の「石山社中」による武州里神楽や杉並区登録無形民俗文化財の「井草囃子保存会」によるお囃子が披露されました。
お囃子の演奏中に突然獅子が現れ、邪気を払う行為ともいわれる、見学者の頭を嚙みまくっていました。
