NOSTALGIA FOR SHOWA ERA

A shumai (or Chinese steamed dumpling) restaurant located quite near from the south exit of NISHIOGIKUBO station.

This old-fashioned and cozy restaurant reminds you of Showa Era (1926-1989); there is a black-colored telephone and a record jacket of Ishihara Yujiro, the then nationwide popular actor and singer, displayed on the shelf. The records of his songs are played on request.

You will feel tempted to drop in at the restaurant at dusk.   

懐かしの店

西荻窪駅南口のすぐ近くにあるシュウマイの店。

黒電話や当時の国民的人気俳優・歌手である石原裕次郎のレコードジャケットが飾られていて、そのレコードもかかるなど、夕暮れ時、ふらっと入りたくなる昭和の面影を残している。
