Lunch in this relaxing and artistic store is exceptional.
Café “TOPOS” is run by a mother and her son and located along NISHIOGI Minami Chuo-street, about a six minute-walk south from JR Nishi-Ogikubo Station.
This is a standard lunch dish of hamburger steak (with rice and salad), and the plate it is served on was designed by the son, who is an accomplished artist. He draws it freehand without a draft, so no two dishes are exactly the same.
The storekeeper’s thoughts: ”TOPOS means 'place' in Greek, so I want this space to be a place where people can gather, with a focus on music and art.”

アート感に溢れる落ちついたお店でのランチは格別です。
JR西荻窪駅から南へ徒歩6分ほど、西荻南中央通り沿いにある、母子で経営されている喫茶店「TOPOS」。
これは、ランチ定番のハンバーグ（ライス、サラダ付き）ですが、盛り付けられているお皿は、絵がお得意のご子息のデザインされたもの。下書きもせず、フリーハンドで描くので同じものがないそうです。
店主の思い「TOPOSとはギリシャ語で「場所」という意味です。この空間を、音楽と絵を中心とした集まる場所にしたいと思っています。」
